The Department of Nuclear Medicine, SGPGIMS Lucknow, invites applications from motivated and research-oriented candidates for a Research Fellow (PhD position) in the interdisciplinary field of Radiopharmaceutical Sciences and Molecular Imaging.
This research program focuses on the design, synthesis, radiolabelling and biological evaluation of novel radiotracers for diagnostic and theranostic applications in oncology and neurological disorders. The selected candidate will work in a multidisciplinary environment integrating chemistry, biology and nuclear medicine imaging.
Research Area
- Design and synthesis of bioactive molecular scaffolds
- Radiolabelling using PET/SPECT radionuclides
- Quality control and stability evaluation of radiopharmaceuticals
- In-vitro biological evaluation (cell studies)
- Small animal imaging (PET/CT, SPECT/CT)
- Translational molecular imaging research
Training in radiation safety, animal handling and imaging techniques will be provided.

Essential Qualification

Desirable Skills
- Organic synthesis or radiochemistry experience
- Handling of analytical instruments (HPLC, TLC, spectroscopy etc.)
- Basic molecular biology or cell culture knowledge
- Strong interest in translational medical research
Candidates without prior radiation experience may also apply. Necessary training will be provided.
